Cost to play is 5 eDollars (previously referred to as points) per week.
Each player starts with 0 eDollars.
If you don't already know how to accrue eDollars, contact the
PoolMaster
to obtain your eDollars.
If you do not have 5 eDollars available in your eOfficePool bank, then you will not be able to submit your picks and you will not receive a quikpik.
If you do have 5 eDollars available, you may submit your picks.
If you do not submit your picks and you have 5 eDollars available, a quikpik will be randomly generated for you by the system.
If you do not pick all games for a week, then the games you did not pick will be randomly picked for you by the system.
Quikpiks will be made after the week close deadline.
At the bottom of the picks page, is a place to make your Monday night point total prediction. This value should be the sum of the two scores at the end of Monday night's game. This value will be used as a weekly tie breaker. At the end of the season, there is one week with no Monday night Game. The late game on Sunday night will be used as the tie breaker.
Once you have made your picks or a quikpik has been made for you, 5 eDollars will automatically be deducted from your eOfficePool bank.
The spreads for each week will be inputed manually on Wednesday's based on the "Latest Line" from the
Boston Globe
. You may submit your picks prior to Wednesday.
Week close will be posted at the top of the week's picks.
Once the week closes, all players picks will be posted in place of the week's pick page. Follow the same link back to where you made your picks for the week and all players picks will be posted there.
Occasionally, there are Thursday games. Picks for the Thursday games are due before game time on Thursday. The rest of your picks are not due until week close.
Occasionally, there are Saturday games. On those weeks, all picks will be due by noon on Saturday.
Game scores will be updated Sunday evenings and Monday evenings. Hopefully halfway through Sunday too. Player standings will automatically update when viewing all players picks.
Weekly winners will be determined by the player that picks the most number of correct games against the spread. In the event of a tie, the player with the monday night point total prediction closest (over or under) to the sum of the two scores for Monday night's game will be the winner. At the end of the season, there is one week with no Monday night game. The late game on Sunday night will be the tie breaker game.
Game winners are determined as follows:
-Subtract the score of the underdog from the score of the favorite.
-Subtract the spread from the result of the previous calculation.
-If the end result is greater than 0, then the favored team is the winner.
-If the end result is less than 0, then the underdog team is the winner.
-If the end result is 0 then it is a push and there is no winner.
Winners each week will have (4 * the number of players) eDollars credited to their eOfficePool bank.
(1 * the number of players * 17) eDollars will be applied to the end of season total pool.
-Last place will receive
25 eDollars
credited to their eOfficePool bank
-3rd place will receive 10% of the remaining eDollars after 25 eDollar deduction credited to their eOfficePool bank:
Currently $
0.00
-2rd place will receive 25% of the remaining eDollars after 25 eDollar deduction credited to their eOfficePool bank:
Currently $
0.00
-1st place will receive the balance credited to their eOfficePool bank:
Currently $
0.00
In the event that I FORGET TO PUT THE SPREAD into a game for a week, the spread will be 0 once the week closes. This may happen when no line is posted for too many days.
All spreads will be half points this year. If a spread is an integer, the home team will give up a half a point. Example: home is favored by 3, this will be modified to home favored by 3.5. If away is favored by 3, this will be modified to away favored by 2.5.
